Description

Transform your dining space with the Clifton banquette dining table. This is a made-to-order solid oak table, handcrafted in West Yorkshire. It makes the perfect partner for your Nook Home booth.

Combining timeless craftsmanship with modern design, it features a beautifully finished oak top set mounted on bold trapeze-frame matte black legs.

You can tailor the table to suit your home by choosing the perfect edge profile. Choose from straight, chamfer, or natural waney edge and finish it in your preferred look: natural oak, rich walnut, or bold black stain.

The Clifton is available in three sizes: 1600mm, 1800mm, or 2000mm. It offers the ideal fit for your dining room, whether for everyday family meals or special gatherings.

Products that work well with this…

Key features:

Every Nook banquette table is handcrafted by skilled joiners in our West Yorkshire workshop. With years of expertise and a meticulous eye for detail, each oak panel is hand-selected and crafted into a stunning tabletop.

We work exclusively with FSC-certified European solid oak, ensuring a piece of furniture built to last for generations. Each table is completed with a durable water-based varnish in a subtle 15% sheen for a refined finish.

Assembling your table
Your oak tabletop and metal legs will arrive separately. Carefully unpack both, then align the legs with the marked lines on the underside of the tabletop. Using the provided black Phillips-head screws, secure the legs into the pre-drilled holes with a Phillips screwdriver.

Looking After Your Table

Dining tables for Domestic use only

Re-varnishing your table
If your table requires re-varnishing, please contact Nook Home for our recommended products and advice.

For a full resurface at home, we advise only attempting this when significant signs of wear are visible. You may also choose to contact a local specialist for professional refinishing.

You will need:

  • Varnish remover
  • Sander
  • Protective glasses

Steps:

  1. Remove the existing varnish using a suitable varnish remover.
  2. Sand the surface carefully, always working in the direction of the wood grain to avoid visible marks.
  3. Apply a water-based varnish to protect and finish the surface.

For the exact varnish we use, please contact us at hello@nookhome.co.uk.

Caring for Your Wooden Furniture

Protecting your table

  • Always use coasters, placemats, and tablecloths.
  • Wipe spills immediately and avoid placing hot dishes directly on the surface.
  • Keep away from radiators and direct sunlight to prevent cracks or discolouration.
  • Small cracks are natural with wood but can be reduced by occasional waxing.

Cleaning

  • Avoid household cleaners or anything with silicone.
  • For daily cleaning: wipe with a lightly damp microfiber cloth, then dry immediately.
  • For deeper cleaning: mix warm water with a little white vinegar, test on a hidden spot first, then wipe and buff dry.
  • If polishing, choose a non-silicone polish such as Wood Silk.

Oiling & waxing

  • Our tables are finished with a water-based varnish. Wax (e.g. Briwax Original) may be used, but do not oil unless your table was originally supplied with an oil finish.
  • Reapply wax once or twice a year, or whenever the wood looks dry.
